No matter how bad we think it is, GOD has a plan.

Today I heard of God answering prayer for one of my friends. It was amazing!!!! There are no other words to say. I really need to hear that today of all days. I know and believe in God and how he is in control of our lives, but sometime when the going gets rough it's hard to see him working. So for you that know me my honey's job is not a sure thing yet and we are in one of those days were we need to pray harder then any other day. For today when I heard the great news it was like God was speaking right to my heart saying "Don't worry child I have a plan!!!" My God is AMAZING!!! He has a plan for us and I just need to have faith in HIM.

What does respect mean to you?

Does being a Christian mean that you let people walk all over you? Ummmmm let see that's a NO. This week I have been challenged with my patients and having a kind heart towards people and let me tell you it is not easy. So let me give you a little insight to what is going on, the builder that built our house is pouring the slab on the both lots right next to us (so we are the monkey in the middle). Yesterday the men that are working on the slab have decided to help themselves to our water supply to do their work and for their drinking purposes. I went outside to tell them that they needed to ask before they used our water but to no big surprise NONE of them speak English (great so maybe I should have paid attention in Spanish class). So I called the builder and told them that we don't mind that they use the water BUT they need to ask before they use it. After that phone call I get a knock at the door and guy that is in charge apologies and says it will not happen again (the guy was very nice). So I wake up this morning to the sound of someone using my water again (without asking), this has been going on all day and I have not said anything. What do I do????? Do I call again to the builder? Do I let them just use it with out asking? Do I call the police? What do I need to do???? While I was think I was talking do my daughter and told her that this is a good lesson to respect other peoples property, do not take things with out asking. As a christian family we need to be slow to anger and patient, kind and loving (even if I don't feel like it at the time), just like GOD is with us. So today I have showed our daughter how to respect others and their property and how to show the love and kindness that GOD gives us everyday. To the end the story I got a call 5 min later from the boss of the boss of the guys that are working saying that they are very sorry that they haven't been asking for the water and that they will talk to the guys. So even if I am a christian women that doesn't mean that people can walk all over me or our family, it just means that as a christian I'm to react to things like this with love and kindness and with the light of Jesus Christ.

Who knew?

Well this morning we woke up to a wonderful and magical surprise!!!! We looked outside and it was covered in a white blanket of pure delight, it had snowed all night. Who knew that here in Texas that it would have snowed 3 times this winter. We surly had no idea when we moved to Texas that we would see snow, but yet if you think our God is so great that even snow in Texas is possible. Thank you God for the wonderful surprise!!!!

My thoughts for today.

As I'm going through my morning routine I stop and think to myself, you know how God says in the bible that our husbands aren't working for man they are working for God. Well that got me thinking about my JOB as a wife, mother, and homemaker. I love that God has blessed us where I am able to stay home (at the moment) but I have my days where I just complain about everything about cleaning about cooking about picking up after my husband, and then I thought, I'm really complain to God and what he has blessed me with. Now that really hit me hard all the things that God has done for us and got us through (and I know that y'all know what I'm talking about :) ). What right do I have to complain to God? I think that my view of being a stay at home wife and mother has changed forever. My JOB (as I see it) is to work for the glory of God, I'm to take of my husband because God has set me here to be his HELP mate, and for our children I'm to raise them to understand the bible to want to do good works for God and to be thankful in all things and one day give their lives to CHRIST. So today I have a fresh view of my purpose as a stay at home mom. I'm here to accomplish God's will not my own!!!

Little more about me Part 1

OK blog world I guess that I must make an entrance the proper way, first think first I should tell you a little more about myself. My husband and I met in California when he was in the Marine Corps I was 17 and going into my senior year of high school we dated for only about 4 months and on December 15, 2001 we got married ( I guess you would call it LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT). Now let me tell you going to high school and being the ONLY one married was very difficult the teachers looked and treated me different then everyone else. My school even tried to get me to go to some continuing school for troubled kids (I wasn't a troubled kid I was married) they told me that I was a distraction to all of my other class mates, right..... they were a distraction to their selves. Right before graduation my husbands father passed away and we had to go to Panama to take care of things (since he is the only son in his family). That was the first time that I met my husbands side of the family, it was different. Most of his family spoke Spanish and I don't but we got through it together. Then on March 6Th, 2003 we welcomed our first child a little girl. It was amazing!!!! Becoming parents together is an amazing time in our lives (even with the girl DRAMA is comes with). My husband was deployed one week after our daughters 1st birthday. I think seeing the plane leave and not knowing if my husband would ever really know our daughter, if he would get to see her grow up was the most painful feeling that I HAVE EVERY HAD!! He was gone for 7 months, and in a baby's life that is like a life time. It took a while after my husband came home for our daughter to be comfortable with him. But it finally happened, I felt so bad for my husband when he came home to see his wife so independent and his daughter that didn't even know him but we prevailed. Soon after my husbands return we got orders to North Carolina........

About Me

My photo
Well what can I say.... I give GOD all the glory!! He has walked me through my life and he has truly blessed my family and I. I am a happily married women of 8 years, we have two wonderful children and last but not least two dogs. It has been a LONG JOURNEY getting here. I'm here to tell you all about it and then some :).
